We are seeking experienced Underground Mechanical Fitters for a FIFO opportunity within the WA mining sector.
This is a temp-to-perm position paying $80 per hour, offering long-term career opportunities for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance, servicing and repairs of underground crushers, feeders and crushing circuits.
- Fault finding, maintenance and repairs of hydraulic systems, pumps and cylinders.
- Inspection, servicing and repairs of underground hoisting systems.
- Preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and mechanical component change-outs.
- Ensuring underground mechanical equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Essential Requirements
- Previous underground mining experience – preferred but not essential
- Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification.
- Proven experience with crushers, hydraulics AND hoisting systems – essential.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience maintaining underground fixed plant equipment.
- Current driver's licence.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
