Mt Barker Medical Clinic is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team on a Permanent Part Time basis.

We are a fast-paced but extremely friendly, family-orientated private practice with 13 GPs and a professional nursing and reception team.

The position is 4 days per week (Monday to Thursday), with one Saturday morning shift every 4 weeks.

Duties include reception, concierge, appointment bookings, billing and general administrative duties.

Due to the fast-paced environment, experience in a Medical Receptionist role or similar is preferrable. Knowledge of Medicare and medical software systems (e.g. Best Practice or similar) will be highly regarded.

About the Role

- Greeting and assisting patients with professionalism and empathy

- Managing appointments and phone enquiries

- Processing Medicare and private billing

- General administrative duties

- Duties would include reception, appointment bookings,



billing and general administrative duties.

Essential requirements

- Professional approach with a ‘can-do’ attitude

- Ability to manage within a busy workplace setting with fluctuating levels of demand

- Be able to work in a team environment and independently

- Availability across Monday to Thursday with availability to work a Saturday morning (rotating roster with 1 shift every 4 weeks)
