About the role

As our receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a vital role in creating a positive and memorable experience at every visit. You'll work varied shifts including early starts (7:00am) and late closes (7:00pm/7:30pm), different shifts shared across our reception team.

About you

- Essential experience using Best Practice software
- Proven experience as a medical receptionist in a busy general practice
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail




- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- A genuine, understanding and supportive approach to patient care
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and occasional Saturdays
- Available to work across rotating roster and to fill roster gaps

Key responsibilities

- Greeting patients warmly and managing appointments
- Patient registration and administration
- Managing phone enquiries and correspondence
- Processing billing (private/mixed billing practice)
- Coordinating with clinical staff and maintaining smooth practice operations
- General reception and administrative duties
