We have the opportunity for a medical receptionist to join our expanding community driven GP Clinic, four days a week.
ABOUT US
Yorkeys Medical Centre, established in 2021, is a family, locally owned and managed, healthcare practice. We take great pride in providing our community with high quality, patient-centric healthcare. We are currently seeking a friendly, innovative and empathetic professional to join our expanding practice as a medical receptionist and administrator
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greeting patients in a warm and welcoming manner
- Taking appointments, and managing practitioners’ calendars and client needs
- Responding to face-to-face, telephone and email enquiries
- Taking payments, and processing Medicare and private health claims
- Issuing invoices and receipts
- Maintaining and updating patient records and ensuring confidentiality
- Providing practitioners, management, staff, external providers and clients with general administrative support
- Assisting in the maintenance of policies, procedures and practice systems
- Keeping the reception area clean and organised
ABOUT YOU:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a receptionist or in a similar role (Essential)
- Previous medical practice experience (Highly Regarded)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Essential)
- Familiarity with medical software (Highly Regarded)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail.
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Full unrestricted Australian working rights
