About the role The primary responsibility of this position is to act as the Nominated Qualified Supervisor for Key Energy's NSW Electrical Contractor Licence.
In addition to fulfilling the responsibilities associated with this appointment, the successful applicant will undertake practical electrical work, assist with the assembly of electrical control systems and coordinate electrical contractors undertaking battery installations across Sydney and regional NSW.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to an experienced electrician who enjoys working independently and being involved in a growing business.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the Nominated Qualified Supervisor for Key Energy's NSW Electrical Contractor Licence.
- Provide appropriate electrical supervision and oversight to ensure work complies with relevant NSW legislation, Australian Standards and electrical safety requirements.
- Oversee electrical work undertaken by employees and subcontractors within the scope of the company's electrical contracting activities.
- Assist with electrical compliance, installation quality and protected work practices.
Electrical Assembly and Installation
- Build and wire electrical control boards and panels using supplied wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Install and connect electrical control devices,
including relays and associated equipment.
- Assist with electrical pre-wiring and preparation of equipment at our depot.
- Supervise and assist with the installation of cable trays, cable runs and associated electrical infrastructure at our depot.
- Undertake electrical testing, fault-finding and troubleshooting where required.
Contractor Coordination
About you
- Current NSW electrical licence
- Current driver's licence
- Good electrical fault-finding ability
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical drawings
- Experience with switchboards, control panels or industrial electrical cabinets
- Confidence working independently
- Good practical problem-solving skills
- A genuine willingness and ability to travel to regional NSW when required
- Flexibility to stay away overnight or for several days when necessary
