About the role

VitaCare Disability Services is seeking an independent Occupational Therapist on a subcontractor basis to join their team and play an important role in developing their Occupational Therapy services. You'll have the flexibility to manage your availability and caseload while working collaboratively with a management team that understands the healthcare industry and brings previous Occupational Therapy experience. A small caseload is currently available, with opportunities to develop further referrals as services expand.

Key responsibilities

- Conducting Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs) and preparing comprehensive NDIS reports

- Delivering individualised Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions

- Assessing participants' functional abilities, independence and daily living needs

- Providing assistive technology and equipment recommendations

- Conducting home environment and modification assessments

- Developing practical, person-centred therapy plans and recommendations

- Liaising with participants, families, support coordinators and other healthcare professionals

- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and reports in accordance with professional and NDIS requirements

- Working collaboratively with VitaCare's management and support teams to achieve positive participant outcomes

About you

- Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist

- Relevant Occupational Therapy qualifications





- Current ABN or willingness to establish one

- Appropriate skilled indemnity and public liability insurance

- NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one

- Strong communication, assessment and report-writing skills

- Ability to work independently and manage clinical responsibilities

- Commitment to person-centred, evidence-based practice

- Previous experience working with NDIS participants

- Experience completing Functional Capacity Assessments
