Netflix Animation Studios is hiring Lighting Artists across experience levels for its next animated feature, combining cinematic lighting with final-image compositing.

Location: Sydney, Australia
Contract and work arrangement: Full-time; hybrid with at least three days per week in the Sydney office. This is not a worldwide remote position.

What you will do

- Take shots from initial lighting through final delivery and adapt lighting rigs with leads and supervisors.
- Composite render layers in Nuke to support the film's visual direction.
- Resolve visual and technical challenges, test lighting tools and communicate shot progress against production milestones.

What the studio is looking for

- Lighting experience in animated or VFX features, or high-end animated series.
- A strong understanding of cinematography, composition and visual storytelling.
- Experience with industry-standard lighting software, preferably node-based tools such as Katana or Houdini, plus proficiency in Nuke.
- Clear communication, organization and a team-oriented approach to feedback.
