About the role

Port Broughton Tourist Park is seeking a motivated, friendly and hands-on Park Manager Couple to join our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our beautiful coastal tourist park. Located in the welcoming seaside town of Port Broughton on South Australia's Yorke Peninsula, this is an exciting opportunity for a couple looking for a rewarding full-time role, a change of pace and the chance to become part of a wonderful coastal community.

Key responsibilities

- Park Operations and Guest Experience
- Oversee the day-to-day operation and presentation of the park
- Manage bookings, reservations, administration and guest enquiries
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, grounds, amenities and accommodation
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally
- Coordinate maintenance, contractors and operational requirements
- Participate in an on-call arrangement to respond to after-hours guest enquiries, emergencies and operational issues

Work Health and Safety (WHS)

- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the park
- Ensure safe work practices and compliance with relevant WHS requirements
- Conduct and coordinate workplace inspections, hazard identification and risk assessments
- Report incidents, hazards and near misses, and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are completed
- Ensure staff understand and follow relevant safety procedures

Staff Management and Rostering

- Prepare and manage staff rosters to meet operational requirements and seasonal demand
- Coordinate staff workloads, leave and shift coverage
- Provide guidance and support to employees, encouraging teamwork and accountability




- Monitor staffing requirements and ensure appropriate coverage during busy periods

Reporting and Administration

- Maintain accurate operational records, reports and administrative documentation
- Complete regular management reports as required
- Monitor bookings, occupancy, guest feedback and operational performance
- Maintain accurate records relating to maintenance, incidents, staffing and park activities

Financial Management and Cost Control

- Monitor operating expenses and manage costs within approved budgets
- Control expenditure on wages, supplies, maintenance and general operations
- Monitor stock, purchasing and resource usage to minimise waste
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability
- Assist with budgeting, financial reporting and achieving business objectives

About you

- Experience in caravan parks, holiday parks, accommodation, hospitality or tourism
- Solid customer service and communication skills
- Good organisational and administrative abilities
- A practical, hands-on approach to maintenance and general park duties
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude, initiative and a strong work ethic
- Flexibility to work weekends and during peak holiday periods
