Job Description
n
20th October, 2026n
More choice over where and when you nurse.
n Looking for extra shifts alongside your current job, returning to nursing, or seeking a more flexible work routine?
n Chris Barnard Nursing Agency (CBNA) is recruiting Registered Nurses for residential aged care and community aged care opportunities across Melbourne metro, from Footscray to Clayton, Lalor and beyond.
n We take the time to meet you, get to know you and build a relationship beyond shift offers. We celebrate your milestones, get together at staff events and enjoy a party with you, too. Whether you’re a new graduate finding your feet or an experienced Director of Nursing, you deserve a team that knows your name, listens and shows up when you need support. That’s the kind of agency we work to be, somewhere you feel valued as a person and respected as a nurse.
n Tell us your preferred locations, availability and clinical experience. We’ll discuss suitable opportunities in residential aged care, home care or both.
Why choose CBNA?
n • Weekly pay every Thursday.
n • Flexibility to share your availability and manage shift opportunities through the CBNA app.
n • Opportunities across Melbourne’s northern, western, eastern and south-eastern suburbs.
n • Free Ausmed access to support your training and CPD.
n • A dedicated allocations team available seven days a week, from 5 am to 11 pm.
n • Guidance through onboarding,
with a start date agreed once compliance checks are complete and suitable work is available.
Choose the setting that suits your experience
Residential aged care
n Support older people living in residential aged care homes.
Community aged care / home care
n Deliver nursing care to older people in their own homes, helping them maintain their health and independence.
n Interested in one setting rather than both? Let us know. We’ll discuss the experience and competencies required for suitable assignments, including any in-charge or independent community nursing responsibilities.
What you’ll bring
n • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
n • Solid assessment, medication management and clinical documentation skills.
n • Confidence recognising and escalating changes in a person’s condition.
n • Clear communication and a respectful approach to older people, families and care teams.
n • Australian working rights.
Let’s talk about what works for you
n Apply with your CV and let us know your preferred suburbs, usual availability, and whether you’re interested in residential aged care, home care or both.
n Our recruitment team will contact you to discuss opportunities and guide you through the next steps.
n All appointments are subject to rigorous pre-employment screening, including credential verification and all compliance requirements relevant to your role and care setting.
Bring your nursing experience. We’ll help you explore the opportunities.
