We’re looking for a Cook to join Palm Club, a new island‑inspired café and bar opening on Nelson Place in Williamstown.

Think signature toasties, vibrant lunches, jerk wings, golden fish cakes and evening share plates, with coffee, cocktails and music bringing the space to life.

We have the concept and a menu foundation ready. Now we’re looking for someone who enjoys making delicious food, takes pride in a well‑run kitchen and wants to help us get off to a great start.

You don’t need Caribbean cooking experience. If you’re confident in the kitchen, curious about flavour and keen to learn, we’d love to meet you.

The role

You’ll work closely with the owners to prepare and deliver a focused menu across daytime and selected evening services.

Your day‑to‑day will include:

- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes consistently
- Keeping prep organised and getting ready for service
- Maintaining a clean, secure and tidy kitchen
- Monitoring stock, flagging orders and keeping waste down
- Following recipes and helping refine dishes as we grow




- Contributing ideas for specials and new menu items

There’s room to be creative, with a practical menu that works during a busy service.

Who we’re looking for

You might be an experienced café cook, a commis chef ready for more responsibility, or someone looking for a fresh kitchen and a different style of food.

We’d love someone who:

- Has experience cooking in a café, restaurant or similar kitchen
- Can confidently handle prep and cook during service
- Cares about flavour, presentation and consistency
- Is reliable, organised and communicates well
- Works well in a small team and is comfortable working independently
- Can work a mix of daytime, weekend and selected evening shifts
