We’re seeking expressions of interest from experienced AWS Platform Operations Engineers for an upcoming full-time chance, recruitment commencing in December 2026.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving cloud infrastructure and driving automation to ensure reliable, high-performing AWS environments.
You’ll play a key role in incident management, root cause analysis and platform optimisation, working closely with DevOps, Engineering and Security teams to maintain and enhance cloud operations.
What you’ll be doing:
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex AWS infrastructure and application issues
- Managing escalated incidents and conducting root cause analysis
- Developing automation solutions using CloudFormation, Lambda and CI/CD pipelines
- Enhancing monitoring and observability using Splunk, Honeycomb and OpenTelemetry
- Collaborating with DevOps,
Engineering and Security teams to improve platform performance
- Supporting and mentoring Tier 1 engineers on technical troubleshooting and best practices
What we’re looking for:
- Strong hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting AWS cloud environments
- AWS certification, ideally SysOps Administrator or higher
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation)
- Proficiency with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Honeycomb and OpenTelemetry
- Strong understanding of AWS services including IAM, CloudWatch, ECS Fargate, Lambda and API Gateway
- Scripting experience with Python, Shell or Node.js
- Strong incident management, problem-solving and communication skills
Location: Melbourne, VIC. Hybrid Role - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in office.
Salary: $100,000-$120,000 AUD per annum
