Seeking an Experienced Payroll Officer with Ascender and State Government experience required for a Perth CBDYour recent company

Join a well-established WA State Government organisation located in the Perth CBD. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a supportive team and contribute to the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services during a busy period.

Your new role

- Process end-to-end payroll transactions in accordance with policies and procedures• Interpret and apply relevant awards, agreements and payroll legislation
- Process payroll adjustments, leave transactions and timesheets
- Respond to payroll-related enquiries from employees and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data
- Assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and payroll process reviews
- Work collaboratively within a high-performing payroll team

What you'll need to succeed

- Previous State Government payroll experience is essential• Demonstrated experience using Ascender payroll systems
- Strong understanding of payroll processes,



awards and entitlements
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Confidence working in a fast-paced payroll environment
- Willingness and ability to complete payroll testing as part of the interview process
