We’re looking for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join a Tauranga-based Occupational Health Consultancy. This role combines hands-on clinical expertise with the opportunity to support Occupational Health Nursing services across the Bay of Plenty, with a particular focus on the Whakatane area. Key Responsibilities: Conduct pre-employment medical assessments, fitness-for-work evaluations and ongoing health surveillance. Provide initial assessment and management of workplace injuries, coordinate rehabilitation and return-to-work programmes, and liaise with ACC, healthcare providers and employers to support secure and timely recovery. Identify and assess occupational health hazards, contribute to workplace risk management strategies and support compliance. Develop and deliver workplace health initiatives. Manage occupational health cases and provide specialist nursing advice to management. Skills and Experience: Registered Nurse qualification with current APC (Annual Practicing Certificate). Strong Occupational Health nursing experience, ideally across workplace health assessments, health monitoring or workplace surveillance. Experience with services such as pre-employment health assessments, vaccinations, health screening, workplace health advice, drug and alcohol testing or injury prevention would be valuable. Confidence reviewing reports, supporting clinical decision-making and providing practical advice to customers.



Clear communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships. A good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements, Occupational Health risk and relevant clinical standards.
