About the Opportunity We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing accounting practice in Chatswood, Sydney. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of accounting, taxation and business advisory services while working with a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare individual, company, trust and partnership income tax returns.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and assist with GST compliance.
- Perform bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and payroll processing.
- Assist with taxation and accounting compliance matters.
- Liaise with clients and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
- Support senior accountants with various accounting and business advisory assignments.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in Accounting,
Finance or a related field.
- Sound understanding of Australian accounting and taxation principles.
- Robust attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is required.
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or similar systems will be advantageous.
