J+P Building Solutions is currently delivering some of Melbourne’s most striking architectural builds — bespoke, design-led homes and commercial developments that demand real engineering creativity and carry genuine prestige. We work in close partnership with the city’s most reputable architects and builders, and as a graduate joining our team, you’ll be part of that work from the start.
You’ll be building a high-profile portfolio — the kind that takes most engineers years to accumulate — while being supported every step of the way by a close-knit team of experienced engineers who take mentorship seriously.
What you’ll be working on
Our current pipeline spans some of Melbourne’s most architecturally significant residential builds — including high-end custom homes and boutique multi-storey residential developments — alongside a varied mix of commercial work including industrial facilities, retail and mixed-use projects. It’s a broad, stimulating body of work that offers rare structural variety this early in a career.
Beyond the project mix, you’ll be gaining access to advanced, highly specialised structural design knowledge — developed over decades of working on technically demanding, design-led projects alongside the best in the industry.
Day to day, you’ll be
- Working alongside our experienced engineering team on structural and civil design and documentation
- Building a portfolio you’ll be proud to show for the rest of your career
What we’re looking for
- A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (recently completed)
- High attention to detail and robust analytical skills — an ability to think carefully through structural problems and produce precise, considered work
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude
- A genuine eagerness to learn; familiarity with AutoCAD and popular structural analysis software (such as SpaceGass) is expected, while experience with Revit is a plus — above all, we value curiosity and drive
