Position Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Perth team for a self-sufficient and motivated Project Manager. You will work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplined engineering team to develop designs on a variety of materials handling, pumping and process projects within the resources sector, along with a growing portfolio of renewables work.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Management and ownership of multi-discipline design projects.
- Scoping and proposal development.
- Progress tracking, planning and scheduling.
- Facilitate and participate in design reviews.
- Support and collaborate with highly skilled designers and engineers to develop designs for a wide range of plant elements.
- Prepare technical engineering documents as part of overall project engineering deliverables.
- Visits to client sites as required.
- Represent EMtek throughout the complete project lifecycle, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Maintain a safety focus through all aspects of work.
About you The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented team player with a passion for discovery and a commitment to workplace wellbeing and safety. As part of a small, tight-knit team, strong relationship building, and communication skills will be critical in this role.
Skills and experience
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
- 7+ years of multidiscipline Project experience.
- Exposure to materials handling, pumping or process plant design projects, in both the Greenfields and Brownfields space.
- Sound knowledge of the resources industry, including materials handling, pumping and process systems.
- Experience across varied types of commodities, such as gold, copper, iron ore and nickel, favourable.
- Mechanical Engineering Design experience desirable.
- Exposure to renewables projects advantageous.
- Excellent organisational, communication, teamwork and time management skills.
- Technical aptitude, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to think outside the box
