Neerim South Quarry and Excavations Pty Ltd – Laverton VIC

Our Grain and Fertilisation Division operates across regional areas, transporting bulk agricultural products and supporting port operations. The role involves a combination of long-haul grain and fertiliser transport and shift work at ports. Long-haul work is generally Monday to Friday with occasional Sunday night departures, involving working away from home during the week with overnight stays in the truck. Port operations involve loading and unloading ships on a 24-hour roster consisting of 12-hour day shifts or 12-hour night shifts, which may include weekends depending on shipping schedules. Comfortable accommodation is provided close to the port while working these jobs.

Key responsibilities

- Safely transport grain and fertiliser throughout regional areas
- Operate and maintain trucks and trailers to a high standard
- Take pride in your truck, equipment and the work you do
- Manage your time effectively and meet delivery schedules
- Work independently while away from home
- Follow all safety procedures and transport regulations
- Communicate professionally with customers, farmers, port staff and fellow team members

About you

- A current HC licence is essential, with an MC licence highly regarded
- A positive driving history and commitment to safe driving
- A solid can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work unsupervised and manage your day efficiently




- A willingness to work away from home and stay in the truck during the working week
- Flexibility to work 12-hour day or night shifts during port operations
- Honesty, reliability and a strong work ethic
- Good communication skills when dealing with teammates, customers and farmers
- Previous grain, fertiliser or bulk transport experience would be highly regarded
- Tipper experience would be an advantage
