THE ROLE

We are seeking a Cadastral or Registered Surveyor for a Canberra-based opportunity combining practical fieldwork with the flexibility to work remotely when not on site. You will contribute to cadastral surveying projects, taking site measurements through to accurate calculations, plans and project documentation. You must reside in Canberra and have some cadastral surveying experience. Site attendance is required, while survey processing, drafting and reporting can be completed remotely.

DUTIES

- Undertake cadastral and boundary survey fieldwork on sites in Canberra
- Research existing survey plans, title information and relevant property records
- Collect and verify accurate site measurements using surveying equipment
- Process field data, complete survey calculations and prepare plans and supporting documentation
- Assist with boundary definition and subdivision documentation within the scope of your experience and registration
- Check survey information for accuracy, consistency and completeness before delivery
- Liaise with clients, project stakeholders and colleagues to clarify requirements and coordinate site visits
- Manage project records, deadlines and follow-up tasks while working remotely between site visits

ABOUT YOU

- Must currently reside in Canberra
- Some previous cadastral surveying experience is essential, including for registered applicants




- Relevant surveying qualifications and a sound understanding of cadastral surveying principles
- Ability to interpret survey plans, title information and boundary evidence
- Practical experience with surveying equipment, field data processing and survey drafting software
- A careful, methodical approach to calculations, documentation and quality checks
- Confident communicating with clients and other project stakeholders
- Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Ability to attend Canberra sites as required and work effectively remotely between visits
- For registered applicants, current relevant registration and experience working within its scope

WHAT’S ON OFFER

- $80,000–$180,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience
