About the role

Taroom Fuels Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Retail Manager for Ampol Taroom to oversee our service station and convenience store. You will lead the team, manage stock and purchasing, monitor business performance and maintain high standards of customer service and safety.

Key responsibilities

- Manage daily store and service station operations to meet sales and customer service targets.

- Review sales trends and customer needs to determine the product range and stock requirements.

- Coordinate purchasing, supplier orders and deliveries, ensuring stock availability and controlling purchasing costs.

- Manage retail pricing, product displays and promotional offers within approved business arrangements.

- Prepare and monitor budgets, review sales and expenses, and identify opportunities to improve profitability.

- Oversee stocktakes, inventory records and stock rotation to minimise losses and wastage.

- Recruit, train and supervise staff, prepare rosters and monitor employee performance.





- Maintain customer service standards, provide product advice and resolve customer enquiries and complaints.

- Oversee cash handling, daily reconciliations, banking and financial recordkeeping.

- Maintain store and forecourt presentation and arrange equipment maintenance as required.

About you

- At least 2 years of relevant retail management experience, preferably in a service station or convenience store.

- Relevant qualifications in retail management, business or a related field are desirable but not essential.

- Solid leadership, communication and customer service skills.

- Experience managing stock, purchasing, staff rosters and budgets.

- Confidence using point-of-sale systems and preparing sales reports.

- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

- Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required.
