Are you a commercially minded risk professional who enjoys working closely with senior business leaders to shape decisions, strengthen risk management and support business performance?

We’re partnering with a leading financial services technology organisation to appoint two Risk Business Partners. These are excellent opportunities to take ownership of the risk agenda across key business units, providing strategic advice and helping embed a practical, risk-aware culture across a complex, technology-driven environment.

With exposure to senior leadership and strategic business initiatives, these roles offer the chance to influence decision-making while balancing commercial objectives, regulatory obligations and the organisation’s broader risk appetite.

The opportunity

You’ll act as a trusted adviser to business unit leadership teams, providing clear risk insights and ensuring effective risk management practices are embedded across the organisation.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Partnering with senior leaders to identify, assess and manage business risks, supporting informed strategic and operational decisions.
- Owning the risk profile for your business unit, including risk reporting, metrics and alignment with the organisation’s risk appetite.
- Supporting the design, implementation and ongoing assessment of controls, including control self-assessments and remediation activities.
- Overseeing incident and breach management, ensuring issues are escalated appropriately and corrective actions are completed.
- Advising on emerging and strategic risks across technology, cyber security, data governance, AI, business continuity and operational resilience.
- Supporting strategic initiatives and transformation programs,



ensuring risk considerations are integrated into business planning and delivery.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of risk frameworks, policies, governance processes and GRC capabilities.
- Building risk awareness and capability across the business through effective stakeholder engagement and practical advice.

About you You’re an experienced risk professional who understands how to translate risk frameworks and technical concepts into practical business outcomes. You’re comfortable challenging senior stakeholders when required, building trusted relationships and providing advice that supports both business performance and effective risk management.

You’ll ideally bring:

- Extensive experience in a business-aligned risk partnering, operational risk or technology risk role.
- Strong knowledge of risk frameworks, controls, risk assessment methodologies and governance processes.
- Experience working with senior business leaders and influencing decisions across complex organisations.
- The ability to communicate risk clearly, including preparing reports and insights for Executive-level audiences.
- Experience managing incidents, control assessments, remediation activities and emerging risks.
- Strong commercial judgement, analytical skills and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.

The right background You’ll bring experience operating in complex, regulated or technology-driven environments, with the ability to understand business-specific risks and translate them into practical, commercially focused advice.

Experience within financial services, fintech, software or other complex organisations will be highly regarded. Above all, you’ll be comfortable partnering with senior stakeholders, challenging constructively and embedding effective risk management practices that support business performance.
