Securitas Insurance Group is a Hillarys based insurance business serving individuals. We are known for personal service, clear advice and standing by our clients when they need to claim.

The Risk Insurance Adviser helps clients protect their income, family and business against death, illness and injury. You will assess each client's needs, recommend suitable cover such as life, total and permanent disability (TPD), trauma and income protection insurance. You will build a loyal client base through trusted, compliant advice and ongoing service.

Key Responsibilities

Advice

- Meet with new and existing clients to understand their personal, family, financial and business circumstances.
- Conduct thorough needs analyses to identify gaps in their risk protection.
- Research and compare products across insurers to recommend appropriate cover.
- Provide personal and business risk advice, including life, TPD, trauma, income protection, key person and buy/sell cover.
- Prepare clear, compliant Statements of Advice (SOAs) and Records of Advice (ROAs).
- Explain recommendations, costs, exclusions and policy terms in plain language.

Client relationships and ongoing service
- Build long-term relationships based on trust and regular contact.
- Conduct annual and event-based reviews (marriage, new child, new home, business changes).
- Manage policy renewals, premium reviews and changes in circumstances.
- Respond promptly to client enquiries and resolve concerns professionally.

Compliance and professional standards
- Provide advice in line with the Corporations Act, including the best interests duty and related obligations.
- Comply with the Financial Planners and Advisers Code of Ethics and our AFSL authorisation requirements.
- Maintain accurate file notes,



records and client documentation for audit purposes.
- Complete annual Continuing Career development (CPD) requirements.
- Follow privacy, anti-hawking and complaints-handling requirements.

Qualifications, skills and experience

- Meets ASIC's professional standards for relevant providers, including an approved qualification and a pass in the financial adviser exam.
- Registered (or eligible to be registered) on the Financial Advisers Register and able to be authorised under our AFSL.
- At least 3 years' experience providing personal risk insurance advice.
- Sound knowledge of life insurance products, underwriting and claims processes.
- Strong understanding of compliance obligations and advice documentation.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confident using financial planning and advice software and Microsoft Office
