Our client is a large, complex organisation responsible for managing critical infrastructure assets that support millions of people every day. They are currently undertaking a significant enterprise asset management transformation and require an experienced Technical Data Lead to play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of a major SAP EAM implementation.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Data Lead with a strong background in Asset Management Data and SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) to lead a critical data workstream within a major transformation program.

Working closely with business stakeholders, asset management SMEs and system owners, you will take ownership of data readiness activities, ensuring asset data is cleansed, validated, governed and prepared for migration into the future-state SAP EAM platform.

This is a highly visible role that will see you bridging operational and technical teams, driving data quality improvements, establishing governance frameworks and supporting testing, cutover and post go-live activities.

Key responsibilities include

- Leading asset data readiness, cleansing, validation and migration activities.
- Improving data quality, integrity and governance across enterprise asset datasets.
- Working with business stakeholders to define data standards, ownership and processes.
- Translating operational requirements into reporting, dashboard and business intelligence outcomes.
- Supporting testing, cutover and hypercare activities throughout the implementation lifecycle.




- Identifying and mitigating data-related risks and issues across the program.

The Successful Candidate

You will bring a combination of strong asset management domain knowledge, SAP expertise and data leadership experience, ideally gained within asset-intensive environments such as transport, utilities, infrastructure, engineering, resources or government.

You will demonstrate

- Proven experience working with SAP EAM, SAP PM or equivalent Enterprise Asset Management platforms.
- Strong expertise in asset master data, data governance, data migration and data quality management.
- Experience leading complex data workstreams within large transformation or implementation programs.
- The ability to engage effectively with both operational stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Experience across testing, migration, cutover and hypercare phases of major system implementations.
- Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills.
