Globe 24-7 are recruiting a Senior Mining Engineer (Technical Services) for an Australian mining services business in Perth, Western Australia. Our client offers underground engineering work spanning tenders, planning and project support. The opportunity combines technical leadership, client engagement and a direct contribution to business growth.

The Role The Senior Mining Engineer Technical Services will strengthen internal engineering capability and support concurrent tenders and projects. This full time, hybrid position involves Australia-wide site visits approximately monthly, lasting two to three days. The successful candidate will coordinate technical priorities, support expenditure control and mentor developing engineers.

The Key Responsibilities

- Lead tender assessments, interpreting scopes, drawings, schedules, geotechnical information and client requirements.
- Develop underground development and production designs covering access, sequencing, equipment, productivity and execution constraints.
- Prepare schedules, quantities and pricing assumptions for handover to commercial estimators.
- Evaluate tender risks, qualifications and alternatives that improve safety, deliverability and competitiveness.
- Resolve project planning issues with operations and clients, assessing open-pit opportunities where appropriate.
- Integrate ventilation, ground support, geotechnical constraints and emergency access into compliant engineering deliverables.
- Present recommendations to clients and senior stakeholders, coordinating deadlines and external consultant inputs.
- Improve planning workflows, design standards and data quality, evaluating Deswik and other suitable tools.

The Requirements Qualifications & Experience





- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or an equivalent recognised for Australian practice.
- Approximately five or more years’ mining engineering experience, substantially involving underground operations or technical services.
- Experience in both underground development and production planning, tender preparation and operational client engagement.
- Open-pit or open-cut planning exposure.
- Existing Australian working rights; visa sponsorship is unavailable for this role.

- Commercial judgement in translating technical requirements into practical, cost-informed plans.
- Clear technical communication and confidence presenting engineering recommendations.
