D.O.C Group is looking for a Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie to join the kitchen at D.O.C Osteria, our original restaurant on Lygon Street, Carlton.
You’ll have solid experience and be confident running the pans (pasta) or larder section on your own. We want passionate, energetic chefs with a real understanding of Italian food and culture, who can help us keep serving fresh, authentic Italian food every day.
At D.O.C Osteria, you’ll work in a brand new kitchen to make fresh pasta in-house every day. We work directly with artisan Italian producers and local farmers to source the best ingredients for our restaurants and delis.
Remuneration is based on your skills, palate, communication with the team, experience and work ethic.

About the role
- Lead the pans or larder section independently during service
- Manage pre-service prep and mise en place
- Take ownership of your dishes and their quality
- Work closely with the Sous Chef through prep and service
- Keep a clean, hygienic kitchen and uphold food safety standards
- Help build a positive, motivated team
- Keep learning through on-the-job training
About you
- Relevant qualifications and solid industry training
- Independent, organised, and a robust communicator
- A genuine interest in Italian culture, tradition, cuisine and where good produce comes from
- Experience running a section during busy service
- Good knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene
- A team player who still brings a lot individually
- Shares our passion for authentic, quality produce and service
