About CSIRO

As Australia's national science agency, CSIRO is solving the greatest challenges through innovative science and technology. Many of our iconic innovations were once considered impossible until someone, just like you, joined us and took on the challenge.

The opportunity

CSIRO is seeking a Senior Change Management Specialist to support the mobilisation and delivery of our AI program, helping our people and leaders prepare for, adopt and embed new technologies and ways of working.

Working closely with the AI Program Manager, Digital Portfolio teams, senior leaders, business and service owners, and delivery partners, you will establish a fit‑for‑purpose approach to change management across a complex and interconnected program of work.

You will assess organisational and people impacts, identify and engage key stakeholders, and coordinate communication, engagement, readiness and learning activities across CSIRO. Importantly, you will bring the voice of impacted people into program planning and solution design,

helping identify dependencies and cumulative impacts across the broader Digital Portfolio.

This is an exciting prospect to play a key role in supporting the adoption of AI and emerging technology across Australia’s national science agency.

Your high‑level duties will include:

- Developing and implementing organisational change management plans for enterprise‑wide initiatives, including engagement, communication, readiness and development activities.
- Assessing and communicating the people and organisational impacts of change across the AI program and related Digital Portfolio initiatives.
- Partnering with the AI Program Manager, Chief Digital Officer, business and service owners, project managers and other leaders to plan and deliver change activities.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships and working with organisational networks to ensure the voice of impacted teams is represented in the design and implementation of change.
- Identifying dependencies and cumulative change impacts across programs and helping coordinate the sequencing of engagement and readiness activities.
- Supporting project teams to deliver change activities within agreed timeframes and monitoring progress through appropriate governance and reporting.
