Trevallyn Gourmet Bakery is seeking a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join our front-of-house team.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys interacting with customers, takes pride in providing great service and can contribute to a positive and welcoming shop environment. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking part-time work, with the potential for hours to increase over time.
About the role
- Approximately 12–20 hours per week, with room to grow
- Shifts range from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm and 1:00 pm – 6:30 pm
- Providing friendly and efficient customer service
- Serving customers and handling food safely
- Preparing coffees and other customer orders
- Operating the register and handling payments
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation throughout the shop
- General front-of-house duties
About you
- Friendly,
approachable and customer-focused
- Reliable, punctual and well-presented
- Confident communicating with customers
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable handling cash and operating a register
- Previous hospitality, retail or food-handling experience is an advantage
- Barista experience is beneficial but not essential
