About the Role A renewable energy developer is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Project Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of a large utility-scale Solar and BESS project, from mobilisation through to energisation, commissioning and handover. Based in Melbourne with regular site presence, you will work directly with EPC contractors and subcontractors to keep the project safe, on programme and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day delivery of a large hybrid Solar and BESS project, with a strong on-site presence
- Manage EPC and BOP contractors, holding them accountable for scope, programme, quality and safety
- Control programme, budget, progress claims and variations, and report to senior management
- Oversee civil, electrical,
HV and commissioning interfaces through to energisation and handover
- Drive a strong safety culture and ensure WHS, environmental and quality compliance
- Coordinate with AEMO, network providers, landowners and regulators as required
About You
- Proven delivery of large utility-scale Solar and/or BESS projects in Australia (100MW+ or equivalent)
- Solid hands-on site background managing EPC contractors through to commissioning and energisation
- Sound understanding of HV electrical and civil construction
- Solid programme, cost and contract variation management skills
- Strong safety leadership and communication skills
- Tertiary qualification in engineering or construction management
