About the role

Senior Tax Accountant at Camtech & Slater, over 20 year old CPA firm in Moe with clients across Australia.

You will own a portfolio of business and individual clients and be the person they trust most. This role replaces our CEO who is stepping back from day to day client work to lead advisory and education.

Key responsibilities

Own a portfolio of business and individual clients, and be the person they trust most

Do the quality review on company, trust, partnership and individual returns, BAS, IAS and FBT, and own it with confidence

Run tax planning so no client ever cops a surprise tax bill

Use AI every day to work faster and smarter, and help build the tools that put us ahead of every other firm

Bring the advice clients didn't know they needed: structure, cash flow, wealth and automation

Mentor Australian and Philippines accountants, run tax training and raise the bar

About you

CA or CPA qualified, with 6 or more years in Australian public practice

Back yourself on final review, and you'd rather fix a problem than pass it up the line

Registered tax agent, or close to it

Love AI

Confident, conversational and simple talking with clients, and you pick up the phone

Own your work. Nobody ever needs to chase you

$110,000 to $125,000 plus super, more for a registered tax agent A real portfolio, a real voice, and a transparent path to senior management as we grow A Philippines team doing production work, so your time goes on review, advice and clients A front row seat in how AI is changing accounting, with the tools and training to lead it A mix of home and office, with the split open to discussion A normal working week for most of the year. July to September is busy season
