Roles & Responsibilities:

- Lead the technical design and hands-on development of Salesforce applications, ensuring scalable, secure, and supportable solutions.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and Agile teams to deliver business-aligned Salesforce solutions.
- Develop detailed solution designs and technical specifications in line with enterprise architecture and security standards.
- Lead user story analysis, technical estimation, solution design, and technical spike activities.
- Establish and enforce Salesforce development standards, coding best practices, and governance frameworks.
- Conduct code reviews, identify refactoring opportunities, and mentor developers on platform best practices.
- Provide technical oversight for source control, environment management, CI/CD pipelines, and release deployments.
- Ensure all declarative and programmatic components comply with architecture, security, testing, and documentation standards.
- Define and maintain automated testing strategies, including Apex, OmniStudio, integration, regression, and bulk testing.
- Implement technical quality gates and ensure solutions meet acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements.
- Drive source-driven development using Salesforce CLI, Git, version control systems, and approved development tools.
- Maintain disciplined Git practices including branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and release traceability.
- Provide technical leadership across Secure and Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.




- Evaluate technical solutions, conduct proof-of-concepts, and recommend scalable Salesforce architecture patterns.
- Lead modernization workstreams, mentor development teams, perform root-cause analysis, manage technical risks, and ensure successful delivery outcomes.

Skills and Knowledge:

- Technical Leadership and Specialist Skills: Proven experience leading hands-on design and development of Salesforce applications using Lightning Web Components, Aura, OmniStudio, Apex, REST APIs, Test-Driven Development, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines, including setting engineering standards, coaching developers and assuring code quality.
- Solution Design and Delivery Experience: Demonstrated experience owning Salesforce Cloud solution design and technical delivery, including declarative customisation, data modelling, integrations, security, privacy, performance, reliability, release management, environment management and production support.
- Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated ability to provide technical direction, mentor developers, coordinate delivery across disciplines, influence stakeholders and present clear written and visual technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Technical Judgement, Analysis and Innovation: Demonstrated high-level technical judgement,



creative thinking and problem-solving skills to evaluate solution options, manage technical risks and dependencies, resolve complex issues, balance delivery trade-offs and drive continuous improvement within SAFe and Agile delivery practices.

Qualifications & Training: A relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or an equivalent discipline. Equivalent professional experience may be considered where it demonstrates comparable technical depth, delivery leadership and Salesforce platform expertise.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE

- Salesforce certifications relevant to technical leadership, platform development, architecture or DevOps.
- Strong skills in web development and Salesforce platform programming languages and frameworks, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Lightning Component framework, Lightning Design System, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience with Salesforce integrations and Salesforce platform development tools such as Flows, Salesforce CLI, debugging tools, Lightning Web Components, VS Code and source driven development practices.
- Experience with API integrations, Conga Composer/Sign and Salesforce Experience Cloud.
- Experience leading Salesforce DevOps and CI/CD using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins or equivalent.
- Strong Git-based version control, branching, pull-request and release-management practices.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring Salesforce developers, leading code reviews and coordinating technical delivery across multiple environments and releases.
- Experience with Agile and Lean development practices and user-centred design.
