The Package: $99,242 to $109,664.36 per annum ($50.22 - $55.49 an hour) plus 12% superannuation paid under the Water and Wastewater Industry Operators Enterprise Agreement. The position is equivalent to Grade 14 in the QPRC Salary System 2026.

Full-time – 38 hours per week. 9-day fortnight conditions will apply.

Are you an experienced operator looking to help keep our region’s essential water services running? Join QPRC as a Senior Water Industry Operator where you’ll play a hands-on supervisory role in the safe, efficient and highly technical operation of state-of-the-art treatment infrastructure.

In this role you will:

- Supervise and contribute to the operation, maintenance and optimisation of the Googong Water Recycling Plant, including sewage treatment, recycled water treatment, pumping, storage and associated plant infrastructure.
- Monitor plant performance and water and wastewater quality, using SCADA, HMI and other monitoring systems to support safe, efficient and compliant operations.
- Lead, guide and train team members, coordinate day-to-day site activities, respond to operational issues and emergencies, participate in the on-call roster and provide relief as Coordinator when required.





We are looking for someone who:

- Has demonstrated experience in water and/or sewerage operations or maintenance, with the ability to lead and support a team when required.
- Can effectively plan, organise and prioritise work, while using Microsoft Office, monitoring systems and electronic records management systems.
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to workplace health and safety,
