Care Provisions Australia is seeking a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Worker to provide person-centred support to a participant living with a neurodegenerative condition.

Experience supporting participants with Huntington’s disease or other neurodegenerative conditions is highly desirable.

About the Role

We are looking for a Support Worker who is patient, attentive and confident supporting a participant with changing and complex support needs.

Regular work is available 5 days per week during school terms.

Shift: Approximately 3 hours per day, commencing around 1:30 PM during school terms.

The role may involve:

- Providing protected, respectful and person-centred support
- Assisting with daily living and personal support needs
- Supporting community access and meaningful activities
- Following individual support plans and established routines
- Observing and responding appropriately to changes in the participant's needs
- Completing accurate progress notes and required documentation
- Communicating effectively with the participant, family and care team

About You

We are particularly interested in applicants who have:

- Previous disability support experience
- Experience supporting someone with Huntington’s disease or another neurodegenerative illness – highly desirable




- An understanding of progressive neurological conditions and complex support needs
- A calm, patient and compassionate approach
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Reliability and availability for regular weekday shifts during school terms
- Ability to follow support plans, procedures and professional boundaries

Essential Requirements

Qualifications

- NDIS orientation module or willing to complete
- Working with Children check
- NDIS worker screening check
- Police check
- Cert 3 or 4 in Disability support or equivalent Ideal and preferred
- Drivers license and your own reliable and vehicle. Car insurance is mandatory
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
