This role plays a key part in supporting production targets through the safe and efficient operation of multiple pieces of mobile plant in a dynamic mining environment.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Site Supervisor to join our team at BHP’s Prominent Hill Mine Site on a FIFO 4/3 roster. Reporting to the General Manager – Operations, this role is responsible for leading onsite operational teams across road maintenance, waste management, civil works, and associated site support services. The successful candidate will ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual and WHS requirements.

Travel provided ex-Adelaide and ex-Port Augusta.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily operational activities onsite
- Lead toolbox meetings, pre-starts, and safety interactions
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, site procedures, and contractual obligations
- Manage work schedules, workforce allocation, and operational resources
- Coordinate plant and equipment maintenance requirements
- Monitor operational performance and complete reporting requirements
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to operational personnel
- Maintain robust working relationships with BHP representatives and contractors




- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across safety and operations
- Work collaboratively with the General Manager and Site Manager to prepare operational reports and resource recommendations
- Operate machinery and equipment as required

About You You will be a hands-on leader with strong operational experience within mining, civil construction, road maintenance, or waste management environments.

- Experience working in remote or FIFO operations

Essential Requirements

- Current Driver’s Licence (Manual)
- HC Licence
- Forklift Licence
- Loader and Excavator competencies/tickets
- Previous supervisory experience
- Experience in road construction and maintenance
- Working knowledge of civil construction or waste management operations
- Experience in compiling monthly reports, data entry and safety reporting

Desirable Requirements

- Cert IV in Civil Construction Supervision or similar
- Additional machinery tickets
- First Aid Certificate
- Knowledge of environmental compliance in mining operations
- Experience mentoring or training employees
