ANUM Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Theatre

Multiple position’s are available for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our enthusiastic team of Health Professionals in the Perioperative team at Swan Hill District Health.

The Position

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) - Perioperative Services provides clinical and operational leadership within the Operating Suite, ensuring the delivery of protected, high-quality patient care across the pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative continuum.

The role assumes responsibility for shift coordination, supports the Nurse Unit Manager in the management of the department, deputises as required, and contributes to clinical governance, workforce development and service improvement activities.

The ANUM acts as a role model and mentor, supporting staff development and fostering a culture of excellence, safety and person-centred care.

You Bring

- Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Relevant post graduate experience.
- Flexible rostering with the ability to work all shifts and clinical area
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary nursing and midwifery theory and practice.
- Current Pre, Peri and Post-Operative Experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of ACHS accreditation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff and provide information and education to patients and carers about planned procedures including expected length of stay and post discharge support.
- Demonstrated well developed interpersonal and communication skills.

Mandatory requirements

- Current National Police Check, or will to obtain.
- Working with Children’s Check, or will to obtain.
- NDIS worker screening check, or will to obtain.




- Evidence of immunisation records/history as part of the Health Services Act 1988, 2020 Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers).
