Salary: $110,000 – $150,000

With a strong pipeline of work across the ACT, Hindmarsh is seeking an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to join our team and play a key commercial role in the delivery of the Googong Primary School project. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a landmark education project, taking ownership of commercial outcomes while partnering closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager to drive project success.As a Senior Contracts Administrator at Hindmarsh, you will lead procurement, subcontractor and head contract management, manage commercial risk and provide commercial guidance to the wider project team.You will be responsible for:Leading procurement, including tendering, assessment and negotiation of major subcontract packagesManaging head contract and subcontract administration throughout project deliveryManaging progress claims, variations, EOTs and subcontractor claimsForecasting and reporting on project financial performance, including cashflow, costs and commercial riskMonitoring project costs against budget and identifying risks and opportunitiesProviding commercial advice and guidance to the Project Manager and wider project teamBuilding strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractorsLeading commercial and variation review processesSupporting project close-out,



including financial completion and finalisation of subcontract accountsMentoring and supporting Contract Administrators and Cadets within the project teamWe are looking for team members who have:5+ years' proven commercial construction experience, ideally within a head contractor environmentExperience working on large-scale construction projects, with high-rise residential experience highly regardedStrong knowledge of procurement, contract administration, variations, claims and commercial reportingFamiliarity with contract law principles and relevant construction legislationStrong negotiation, problem-solving and stakeholder management skillsExperience mentoring or supporting developing commercial team membersExperience using CHEOPS, Aconex or similar construction softwareBuild more than projects.
