We are currently looking for a reliable, friendly, and motivated support worker to join a small team assisting a 33-year-old man living with Down Syndrome in the Mount Pleasant area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support his independence, lifestyle, and wellbeing both at home and in the community.

About the Role:

In this private support arrangement, you’ll be working alongside his mum. As a member of his support team, you’ll be one-on-one with a vibrant and sociable individual who enjoys staying actively engaged with others and pursuing his interests in fitness, social groups, gaming, bowling, movies, and more.

He requires support in the following areas:

- Accessing the community (social outings, various activities)
- Exercise and gym outings
- General in-home assistance with household tasks
- Daily living activities within the home

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with initiative, strong English communication skills, and a genuine interest in building a long-term, supportive, and respectful working relationship.



Preference will be given to applicants who are of a similar age and possibly share the same interests.

Key Details:

- 8 hours on Thursdays, with the opportunity for additional hours on other days of the week as required.
- Regular days and hours each week will be offered to the right applicants.
- Roles will commence on a casual basis
- You will be employed directly by the family.

Requirements:

- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
- Current driver’s license.
- A reliable car with insurance.
