About the role

Female Service Support Officers (Casual)

At Nest Support Solutions, we believe our team members are more than just support workers, they're Service Support Officers who make a real difference every day. We're looking for compassionate, reliable, and passionate female Support Workers to join our team in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home. You'll support a female participant to achieve her goals, build independence, and live life on her terms. You must be available for passive sleepover shifts (with the adaptability for an active component if the participant requires assistance)

You understand the dynamics of a SIL home, can adapt to changing support needs, and know how to create a safe, positive, and empowering environment for everyone who calls it home.

You will demonstrate

- Previous experience working within a SIL setting.
- A person-centred and strengths-based approach to support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with participants, families, guardians, and allied health professionals.
- Sound knowledge of NDIS principles, dignity of risk, and duty of care.
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
- Reliability, flexibility, and a genuine passion for supporting people to live their best live

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with personal care, daily living, and household tasks.
- Support community access, appointments, and social activities.
- Encourage independence, skill development, and goal achievement.
- Maintain accurate documentation and incident reporting.
- Communicate effectively with participants, families, and support teams.
- Follow all health, safety, and safeguarding requirements.

What We're Looking For

- Experience in Disability Support, SIL, Aged Care with a Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Aged Care, Community Services or similar
- A genuine passion for supporting people.
- Availability for regular passive overnight shifts and active support when required.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- Working with Children Clearance (WWC)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
