Are you a passionate, reliable and enthusiastic swimming instructor looking for a supportive team, competitive pay and flexible working hours?

Pod Squad Learn to Swim is expanding, and we're looking for swimming teachers to join our team!

We are a boutique, family-run swimming school located in Allambie Heights on Sydney's Northern Beaches. We pride ourselves on our small classes, personalised teaching approach and welcoming environment, where every child receives the attention they deserve.

Whether you're an experienced swimming instructor or a newly qualified teacher looking to build your experience, we'd love to hear from you.

Available Shifts – Immediate Opportunities

We are particularly seeking instructors for:

- Wednesday mornings and afternoons – Priority vacancies
- Friday mornings – Priority vacancy

Additional teaching opportunities are available on:

- Tuesday mornings and afternoons
- Wednesday mornings and afternoons
- Friday mornings and afternoons
- Saturday mornings
- Sunday mornings

From Term 1, February 2027:

- Thursday teaching shifts are also expected to become available.

We offer flexible casual hours, with the opportunity to increase your teaching hours as our swim school grows.

About the Role

- Deliver fun, engaging and safe swimming lessons for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children.
- Help children develop swimming techniques, water confidence and essential water safety skills.
- Adapt lessons to suit different ages, abilities and confidence levels.
- Build positive relationships with children and their families.
- Work alongside an experienced and supportive teaching team.
- Maintain a safe, encouraging and enjoyable learning environment.





About You We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, caring, patient and enthusiastic.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Confident working with young children.
- A strong communicator and team player.
- Passionate about helping children develop their swimming abilities.
- Interested in becoming a valued, long-term member of our team.

We welcome both experienced swimming instructors and newly qualified teachers. Applicants with backgrounds in childcare, education, coaching or allied health are also encouraged to enquire about training pathways.

Requirements

- Recognised Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification (AUSTSWIM, Swim Australia or equivalent) for independent teaching positions.
- Current Working With Children Check.
- Current CPR certification.
- Legal right to work in Australia.

Currently completing your swim-teaching qualification? We also welcome enquiries from students seeking supervised practical teaching placements or mentoring opportunities as part of their qualification.
