Maxima's Recruitment Servicesis currently seeking highly motivated individual as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic for one of our local government clients based in Margate.Primary Role PurposeAs a Mechanic, you will work closely with the Fleet Maintenance Coordinator and Workshop Programmer to maintain and repair fleet of vehicles, plant and miscellaneous equipment.Offering a 9 day fortnight with a casual hourly pay of $50 + super.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out servicing, maintenance and repairs of engines, transmissions (manual /powershift), hydraulic systems, air systems, brake systems, steering systems and all othermechanical and electrical related mattersCarry out body repairs including minor fabrication,



welding and spray paintingCarry out fault finding and troubleshooting activities to identify necessary repair workConduct brake testing in accordance with the Department of Transport authorisationProvide apprentices with on-the-job training relevant to their apprenticeshipsCompile service records on maintenance activities carried out on items of plantExperienceExperience in maintenance and repair/ overhaul of light, medium and heavy vehicles and plantAbility to work well in a team environmentConfident assisting in the training of apprenticesNumeracy, written and verbal communication skills sufficient to complete paperwork, read safety instructions and plans, and to effectively communicate with the public and team members in the provision of a quality customer serviceQualifications/RequirementsHeavy Diesel Fitter Cert III or equivalentHR truck license essentialWhite CardCurrent National Police Clearance or willing to obtainMust be vaccinated against Tetanus, Hep A and Hep B - this is essential#J-18808-Ljbffr
