Senior Estimator – Commercial Fit-Out Contract Role | Small Builder | ASAP Start
An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Estimator to join a small, established builder specialising in commercial fit-out projects.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on estimator who enjoys working in a close-knit team, taking ownership of the estimating process and contributing directly to the success of commercial projects.
With an ASAP start available, we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.
The Role You will be responsible for managing the estimating process across a range of commercial fit-out projects, working closely with the builder's management team to prepare accurate and competitive tenders.
Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for commercial fit-out projects.
- Review architectural drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Prepare trade comparisons, cost plans and bills of quantities.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value-engineering alternatives.
- Manage tender enquiries and liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
- Assess project risks, exclusions and commercial considerations.




- Work closely with the construction team to ensure a smooth handover from estimating to delivery.

About You
- Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within commercial construction.
- Strong background in commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects.
- Ability to independently manage tenders from initial review through to submission.
- Strong understanding of construction costs, subcontractor pricing and market rates.
- Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build solid relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Comfortable working within a small builder environment and taking ownership of your workload.
- Available to start ASAP.
