About the Opportunity
Workfront is seeking a reliable and motivated Crane Chaser to join a family-owned and operated company with over 70 years of experience in the precast concrete industry.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in their work and can work effectively as part of a team.
Position Overview
Working within a precast concrete production environment, you will assist with the handling, loading and movement of concrete products, along with general labouring duties. You will need to follow instructions carefully, work safely and maintain attention to detail in a busy, hands-on setting.
The position will commence on a casual labour hire basis, with the opportunity for permanent employment for the right applicant.
Key Responsibilities
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the loading and movement of precast concrete products.
- Removing, handling and stacking products safely and accurately.
- Assisting with general production and labouring duties.
- Following workplace safety procedures and instructions.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for people who are:
- Reliable, punctual and committed to attending work as rostered.
- Physically fit and comfortable performing manual handling duties.
- Willing to learn and take direction from supervisors.
- Able to follow instructions and work safely.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive, hardworking and willing to assist where needed.
- Experienced in labouring, maintenance, construction or a trade-related environment.
Essential Requirements
- Reliable transport to and from the workplace.
- Own steel-capped safety boots, high-visibility work shirt and drill pants.
- Valid working rights in Australia.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and understand workplace instructions.
Desirable Skills and Experience
The following would be an advantage but are not essential:
- Previous experience operating tools and machinery.
- A current forklift licence.
- A current rigid vehicle licence or relevant crane-related licence, where applicable.
