Personal Care Assistant (PCA/PCW) – Night Shifts Only

About the Role

Caring Hands Health Care is seeking dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Personal Care Assistants (PCA/PCW) to join our growing team for night shifts in residential aged care facilities.

We are looking for reliable and committed individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality care to elderly residents while ensuring their safety, dignity, comfort, and well-being throughout the night.

This position is ideal for experienced Personal Care Assistants seeking adaptable casual night shifts within the aged care sector.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality personal care and assistance to residents during night shifts.
- Assist residents with toileting, continence care, repositioning, and personal hygiene.
- Support residents with safe mobility, transfers, and manual handling using appropriate equipment.
- Conduct regular resident safety and comfort checks in accordance with facility procedures and individual care plans.
- Respond promptly and professionally to residents' call bells and requests for assistance.
- Monitor residents' well-being and promptly report any changes in their condition to the Registered Nurse or supervising staff.
- Provide emotional support, reassurance, and compassionate care to residents throughout the night.




- Assist with pressure injury prevention and falls prevention strategies.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures, workplace health and safety requirements, and aged care policies.
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Essential Requirements

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Certificate III in Aged Care, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Previous experience working as a PCA/PCW in residential aged care.
- Availability and willingness to work night shifts
- Sound understanding of manual handling, infection control, and resident safety.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, reliable, professional, and resident-focused approach.
- Current National Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check, as applicable.
- Current mandatory aged care training and relevant competencies.

This recruitment is exclusively for NIGHT SHIFTS.

Applicants must be available to work overnight shifts in residential aged care facilities.

Pay: $45.00 – $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 per week
