Casual Chef de Partie (CDP)

The Budgie Bar & Holly's Bar & Kitchen | Ringwood, Melbourne

We're looking for an experienced and reliable Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at The Budgie Bar and Holly's Bar & Kitchen.

This is a great opportunity for a confident chef who can take ownership of the grill and pan section, work independently during busy services and become part of a growing hospitality business.

About the Role

You'll be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality dishes, managing your section efficiently and maintaining consistency throughout service.

We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, particularly during busy weekend services and functions.

What We're Looking For

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial kitchens.
- Solid experience working across grill and pan sections.
- Experience with Italian cuisine highly regarded.
- Previous Chef de Partie or supervisory experience.
- Experience catering for functions and events.




- Excellent knife skills, preparation and organisation.
- Ability to manage your section independently.
- Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
- Reliable availability on weekends.

What We're Offering

- Casual position paid at applicable award CDP rates, including relevant penalties.
- Minimum 10 hours per week, with additional shifts available throughout December.
- Long-term opportunity with increased hours expected from early 2027.
