Enhance Living Options is looking for an experienced Support Worker to assist a client living with a spinal cord injury. The role includes personal care, mobility support and helping the client access the community.
What you’ll do
- Assist with showering, washing, drying and lower-body dressing
- Provide standby support during transfers
- Prepare meals and help with meal planning and setup
- Support the client to attend rehabilitation and medical appointments
Shifts and location
- At least 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Immediate start
- In-person work in Normanville, SA
- Local applicants are strongly encouraged to apply. Travel allowance may be considered for applicants from surrounding areas.
- There may be opportunities for additional hours over time, with the possibility of a more permanent arrangement for the right person.
About you
- Experience supporting people with spinal cord injuries is strongly preferred
- Calm, patient and confident with personal care and manual handling or transfers
- Reliable, skilled and comfortable working independently
