Mechanical Fitters – Unanderra
Multiple Positions Available | Industrial Workshop
As One Labour is seeking at least two experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our client’s workshop team in Unanderra.
This opportunity suits hands-on fitters with experience repairing and assembling industrial mechanical equipment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Disassembling, inspecting and reassembling industrial gearboxes, driveshafts and pumps.
- Installing bearings and associated mechanical components.
- Identifying worn or damaged parts and carrying out repairs and component replacement.
- Completing precision fitting, alignment and mechanical assembly.
- Reading technical drawings and maintaining quality and safe work standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter, Fitter and Turner, or equivalent.
- Relevant experience with gearboxes, pumps, industrial driveshafts and bearing installations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a workshop team.
- A reliable approach and commitment to safety.
Highly Regarded
- Welding experience.
- Dynamic balancing experience.
Suitably experienced mechanical trades assistants are also encouraged to apply, particularly those with welding or energetic balancing skills.
