Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking an AO4 Communications Officer (Design Support) to join a Queensland Government department based in Nerang.

This role will support the Communications and Governance team in delivering high-quality visual communication materials, graphic design and administrative support for stakeholder engagement activities across the South Coast Region.

The successful candidate will have strong graphic design capabilities, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Rate: Circa $62.90 per hour + super
Location: Nerang, Gold Coast
Contract Length: 6 months + possible extension

Key Responsibilities

- Design and produce engaging communication materials, including flyers, fact sheets, newsletters, infographics, project maps, reports and presentations.
- Ensure all visual communication materials align with corporate branding and style guidelines.
- Provide administrative and coordination support for stakeholder communication and engagement activities.
- Assist with document management, maintaining databases and coordinating communication collateral.
- Liaise with external suppliers and contractors to coordinate the procurement of design products and services.
- Research, source and coordinate imagery for communication materials.




- Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Experience in graphic design and producing professional communication materials.
- Proficiency in graphic design software and contemporary visual design principles.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience within Queensland Government or knowledge of government processes and policies (desirable).
- Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience (desirable).
