About Embrava
Embrava connects digital systems with the physical environments where people spend their time, making information visible and actionable the moment it matters. Through products including Blynclight, Desk Sign, Room Sign, and Any Sign, we support more than 15,000 customers across 32 countries from our offices in the US, UK, and Australia. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Technical Business Analyst to manage multiple projects across our business and tech teams, bringing a solid grasp of software alongside the people skills to work directly with clients.
The Role
We're looking for a Technical Business Analyst to sit at the center of how Embrava builds its internal systems. You’ll work directly with the business teams who use our tools: learning how the business runs, turning that knowledge into clear requirements and user stories, and helping build practical solutions. This role is a great fit for someone early in their career who's curious, quick to pick up a new system, and already uses AI as a natural part of how they work.
You don't need to be a professional software developer, but you should understand programming fundamentals, databases, and how software systems fit together and be as comfortable talking with engineers as well as with the people using the product.
What You'll Do
- Help grow and manage the critical systems and technology platforms that support the company’s internal functions
- Collaborate with business teams and clients to understand workflows and pain points, translating business needs into transparent requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria to guide application development.
- Map current and future workflows, identify opportunities for automation,
and evaluate practical solutions.
- Use AI-powered development tools and coding assistants to prototype, build, modify, debug, test, and improve internal business applications
- Evaluate data structures, dependencies, business logic, and technical feasibility when defining solutions.
- Support testing and user acceptance testing (UAT), then train users and gather feedback to keep iterating the system
What We're Looking For
- 1-3 years of experience in business analysis, product, business systems, or a related role
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Human Centered Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Foundational knowledge of object-oriented programming, software architecture, and how applications and databases interact.
- Experience translating business needs into clear functional and technical specifications for software solutions.
- Understanding of database structures, including schemas, tables, relationships, primary and foreign keys, and data dependencies.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including the ability to evaluate business logic, exceptions, dependencies, and alternative scenarios.
- Comfort with change and the ability to adjust to evolving demands and requirements
- Demonstrated comfort using AI tools to support analysis, prototyping, development, testing, and problem-solving.
- Effective verbal and written communication,
with the ability to explain technical ideas clearly to non-technical users
- Familiarity with Agile product development and iterative software delivery.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once, keeping business and tech stakeholders updated on progress, risks, and decisions
- Ability to model business processes and data structures using workflow diagrams, process maps, or entity-relationship diagrams.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Information Management, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with Python, Java, or other programming languages.
- Experience building internal tools, prototypes, automations, or lightweight applications.
- Experience with CRM platforms, ETL tools, reporting platforms, or database technologies.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and process-mapping tools.
