We are building a new motivated and reliable team for the next stage of the business and looking for an experienced and motivated Cook/Chef, Kitchen hand and a Barista All rounder.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Cook who takes pride in preparing quality food, maintaining consistency and working efficiently in a busy café environment.
About the Role
As our Cook, you will be responsible for the day-to-day preparation and cooking of food, including:
- Preparing and cooking breakfast, lunch and café-style meals
- Following recipes and maintaining consistent food quality
- Ensuring food is cooked and presented to a high standard
- Preparing ingredients before service
- Maintaining appropriate portion sizes and presentation standards
- Monitoring food quality, freshness and stock levels
- Assisting with stock rotation and food storage
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe cooking environment
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
- Working efficiently during busy service periods
- Communicating effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house team
- Assisting with menu preparation and new food ideas where required
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a Cook in a cafe, restaurant or similar environment
- Is confident cooking during busy service periods
- Has strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen procedures
- Takes pride in food quality, consistency and presentation
- Has excellent hygiene and food safety standards
- Is reliable, punctual and well organised
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Is flexible with availability, including weekends
