About Greenchip Recycling

Greenchip Recycling is an established waste management and resource recovery business operating in Baranduda, Victoria.
Our EPA-licensed facility specialises in the management, treatment and recycling of a variety of industrial and organic waste streams.

We are looking for a motivated and organised Environmental/Operations Compliance Coordinator to join our team and play an important role in supporting our day-to-day environmental/Operations compliance requirements.

About the Role

This is a diverse, hands-on role combining administration, environmental compliance and practical involvement in site operations.
Working closely with management and operational staff, you will help ensure the business meets its environmental obligations while supporting the continued development of our compliance systems and procedures.
No two days will necessarily look the same. You may be reviewing documentation, coordinating environmental testing, assisting with regulatory reporting or working alongside our site team to improve operational processes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining and organising environmental compliance records, registers and documentation.
- Assisting with compliance requirements under EPA Victoria regulations and site operating licences.
- Coordinating environmental sampling and testing programs, including arranging laboratory analysis and maintaining results.
- Assisting with the preparation and updating of environmental management plans, procedures and risk assessments.




- Conducting routine site inspections and assisting with identifying and resolving potential compliance issues.
- Supporting environmental reporting, regulatory submissions, (audits and EPA inspections).???
- Liaising with external laboratories, consultants, contractors and regulatory authorities.
- Working closely with operational staff to ensure compliance procedures are understood and followed.
- Identifying opportunities to improve record-keeping, reporting and environmental management systems.

About You

We are not necessarily looking for someone who knows everything about environmental compliance from day one.
We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable, detail-oriented and willing to learn.
You will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with the confidence to ask questions, solve problems and follow tasks through to completion.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Robust organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- The ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritise workloads.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of tasks.




- An interest in environmental management, recycling, sustainability or industrial operations.
- A practical approach and willingness to spend time working with our operational team on-site.

The following would be advantageous but are not essential:

Previous experience in environmental compliance, waste management, recycling or a similar industry.
Experience with waste tracking, environmental sampling or regulatory reporting.
Experience developing or maintaining compliance management systems.
