General Practitioners working in Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (UCC)

We are seeking casual VR GPs to join our team at the Heidelberg Medicare Urgent Care Clinic. Prospect to earn good money and enhance your emergency medicine skills.

Candidates must hold AHPRA specialist registration for this VR GP role.

Minimum 1-2 years of GP experience is required for this urgent care position.

This position includes evening and weekend working hours. Ideal for someone who only wants to work in the evenings and have their day free or has a moratorium and wants to work locally.

This clinic supports the Austin Hospital. Medicare UCCs help reduce pressure on our hospitals and emergency departments, allowing them to focus on higher urgency and life-threatening conditions.





Medicare UCCs provide care for illnesses and injuries that are urgent, but not life-threatening, such as:

- minor infections
- minor fractures,
- sprains,
- sports injuries and neck and back pain
- urinary tract infections (UTIs)
- sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
- minor cuts
- insect bites and rashes
- minor eye and ear problems
- respiratory illness
- gastroenteritis
- mild burns.
