We are currently recruiting for experienced Stonemason to join our team in Mackay QLD.
The successful applicant will need to possess and undertake:- Replacing defective or missing stones on walls and structures- Laying stones according to construction plans or project specifications- Have a willingness to work- Be punctual and responsible- Solid attention to detail- Ability to read and interpret drawings to fine specifications- Experience in handling a range of materials, including difficult materials- Construction and repair of stone and large masonry slabs- Cutting, shaping and installing polished stones using machines and hand tools to high accuracy
Skills & Attributes:- At least 3 years work experience in stonework and installation- Complete a Certificate III in Stonemasonry (Monumental/Installation)- Visualization: able to envisage and implement aesthetic patterns in the design and construction of stone structures- Physical Strength: able to lift and work with heavy tools and building materials- Physical Stamina: perform the rigorous work task of lifting and aligning blocks for extended periods
Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience
